Manna is decent KBBQ restaurant. Servers were attentive and friendly. Couldn't go wrong with KBBQ that night because I was craving it. The sides were tasty as well.
The free soda with a Yelp check-in was an okay reward although I was not initially excited about it.
It had been ages since my last KBBQ craving and visit to the Chula Vista location. I'd recommend it to anyone in the South Bay who didn't feel like traveling all the wto Convoy Street. -

Came here for a long lunch with coworkers and we were stuffed afterwards! Just note that if you are on a time crunch this is not the place to go to for lunch because they open at noon but we had to wait a bit to be seated so we weren't seated until about 12:15.
They have a limited lunch menu for $15.99 that has the main bulgogi, pork belly, brisket, and a couple of others. This is the first time I tried their cheese corn side which was delicious!!! You must order and try it out!
I am so happy they had signs posted for the free soda if you check in on yelp! Saved me $1.99!
All in all great price for a yummy basic kbbq lunch :) Will be back! -

Customer service was not good
We watched so many other patrons receive targeted attention while we sat by and had to stop the staff to get things that they ultimately forgot about.
Mind you. Not a lot of people AT ALL.
Food was okay.
Our burner ended up caked-up with burnt layers. Typically at korean bbqs they are changed out or temps reduced.
Nope, not here.
I finally had to ask them to turn the burner off because we were the only table with a class A fire in our faces while trying to eat.

I didn't come here for the longest time because I thought they sucked when they first opened up and I've never been back until today.
The parking lot kinda sucks. The parking spots are all narrow too. I just park closer to the back without any problems. There's plenty of spaces and you really don't have to walk that far at all.
I checked in and had to wait about 15 minutes which isn't bad. There's benches in the front to hang out on.
I get called and I noticed that the waitresses are so attentive! The last time I came here I remember they would do the bare minimum and it would be so hard to get their attention. NOT ANYMORE! :) They are so friendly and came pretty fast with the meat. I always ask for more meat after they deliver the first round because it gets eaten pretty quick. The lady happily processed my request in a timely manner. I was so impressed! I was able to cook all the meats and not have a lull. The times we would need something we would just ring that doorbell and they were quick to respond. Good job Manna. Faith has been restored in this location!
I remember my past visits here and the meats weren't all that great. This time... the meats were perfect! No complaints whatsoever!
Another thing that I'm happy about are there side dishes. They've always been good but I noticed they added cheese corn! I never would've imagined that it was a good pairing for kbbq but it is! It kinda adds a different flavor and resets the palate.
Here's what I'm really happy about. I love sauces and in the past I would have to bother them just to fill up my sauces... the sweet sauce, sesame oil with salt and pepper, and chili sauce. Now they keep them all on the table!!! Yass Manna yass!!!
I cook a lot of the unmarinated meats first just so that the grill won't get all burnt and we can keep a steady pace. After I put on the marinated meats the grill got all burnt and they came to change the grill without even asking. The dude was pretty quick and chill about it.
I don't know what else to say. This place has made a comeback in my book. I used to drive to mission valley or convoy to satisfy my kbbq needs but I no longer have to. I will definitely be back!!
